The Mediterranean Diet is an unprocessed diet, high in anti-inflammatory polyunsaturated essential fatty acids (omega 3), including lots of fish, nuts, olives and plant foods. Allowing for some dairy, red wine (organic please), red meat and whole grains. The Mediterranean diet is the most widely researched diet in the scientific literature and has demonstrated protective health benefits for a range of metabolic and neurological conditions.
